2008 Non-Arterial Street Resurfacing Program:

Resurfacing of three miles of residential streets at various locations throughout the Village.

East Industrial Street Resurfacing
Timetable: May to October
Street lighting, intersection improvements, curb and one mile of resurfacing in the East Industrial Special Service Area.
Sidewalk Improvement Project
Timetable: August
Completion of sidewalk system along Crawford Avenue and adjacent to Highland School and the annual 50-50 program.
Sewer Rehabilitation
Timetable: April to July
Sewer repairs on Ridgeway Avenue from Oakton Street to Cleveland Street and on Lawndale Avenue from Oakton Street to Keeney Street.
Water Main Improvements
Timetable: April to November
Water main replacement in Williamsburg Subdivision, Lavergne Avenue north of Old Orchard Road, Elm Street from Kilpatrick Avenue to Kenton Avenue, Lawndale Avenue from Oakton Street to Cleveland Street, Madison from St. Louis Avenue to Trumbull Avenue, Christiana Avenue from Cleveland Street to Madison Street and Bennett Avenue from Cleveland Street to Madison Street.
Intersection of Skokie Boulevard and Golf Road Reconstruction
Timetable: Begins Fall 2008
Water main replacement, storm sewer improvements, street light improvements, and reconstruction of entire intersection including dual left turn lanes.
Supplemental Street Resufacing
Timetable: August to September
Resurfacing of 1.6 miles of residential street at various locations:
Central Park Avenue - Main Street to Dempster Street
Enfield Street - Hamlin Avenue to East Prairie Road
Karlov Avenue - Main Street to Greenleaf Street
Karlov Avenue - Crain Street to Dempster Street
Keystone Avenue - Main Street to Greenleaf Street
Lawndale Avenue - Alley to Greenwood Street
Lee Street - Keeler Avenue to Crawford Avenue
High Priority Street Patching Program
Timetable: August
54 significant locations including 19 berms which will be resurfaced.
IDOT Projects
Timetable: April to November
Reconstruction of the Emerson Street bridge over the North Shore Channel starting this spring.
Edens Expressway resurfacing resumes in April 2008 and will continue through to fall 2008.
Cook County Projects
Timetable: Late 2008
Reconstruction of Crawford Avenue from Oakton Street south to Village limits. Project includes storm water improvements, new curb and new pavement. Project tentatively scheduled to begin at the end of 2008.
